"Voluptuaria" | Unique Clothes for Curves

"A divine nimbus exhales from it from head to foot,
It attracts with fierce undeniable attraction,
I am drawn by it's breath as if I were no more then a helpless vapor,
all falls aside but myself and it....
Hair, bosom, hips, bend of legs, negligent falling hands all diffused,
mine too diffused..."

-Walt Whitman

I am happy to have recently debuted my newest line, entitled "Voluptuaria". As one might gather from the name, this is a line of unique and handmade clothing for curvaliscious babes. You can find a couple of these items already listed for sale in my shop, and keep an eye out for more coming later on this summer. This line is an homage to the soft and feminine aesthetic of vintage Hollywood glamour, with a touch of tattered punk rock and bohemian romance. Below you can find beautiful editorial captures taken by the talented Marisa Pike from the first shoot of this line, which was set at the iconic Hotel Shangri-La in Santa Monica. These looks are modeled by drop dead gorgeous bombshell blond Felicity Hayward, looking like a classic Hollywood beauty in hair and makeup by Giovanna Paramo.

Papusza Celebrates the Year of the Horse with Isharya

I recently had the pleasure of meeting the talented creative director and stylist Michelle Rivet of Isharya, who pulled a couple of pieces from my collections to use in a shoot and fashion film she was doing in honor of the Chinese New Year/Year of the Horse. Michelle styled some of my couture pieces with a few pieces from Free People and jewelry from the stunning "California chic meets Bollywood" designs of Isharya. To make the shoot even better they where worn by my beloved muse, Alexis Carene Hutt, who frolicked with and rode a beautiful, blue eyed horse named Checkers down the stunning coastline of a Central Cali beach. See the fashion film and a few of my favorite images, capturing the magic of the shoot below. The black silk chiffon and lace dress seen below will be for sale in my etsy later on today!

Nomadsland; A Story of Oakland-Photos by Sean Murdock

I recently had the pleasure of doing a shoot with Sean Murdock in which he captured the nomadic sense of transience that seems to fill the Oakland air, and California as a whole. We worked numerous epic spots from around the east bay into our shoot, including the notorious 16th Street Station and the Cement Factory in West O. It was a really awesome day, and I enjoyed working with every person who was part of the talented crew.
